A free firmware update has been made available to download, which will enable upgrading existing AtomOS 10 Ninja V, Ninja V+ and Shogun Connect users to upgrade to ATOM OS11.
- Ninja V and Ninja V+ can be upgraded to ATOM OSv11.04.01
Some of the features of AtomOS 11 will require paid activation, please read the release notes for the details for the full details. - Shogun Connect can be upgraded to ATOM OS11 and includes all the new exciting features offered by AtomOS 11, please find the details contained in the release notes.
Important considerations to note are:
- Once the update is applied the device options to downgrade back to AtomOS 10 is limited and for the Shogun Connect is a one-way process.
- However, no further updates to OS 10 will be provided. Upgrading to AtomOS 11 is the only way to keep receiving the very latest bug fixes and feature updates, so it is highly recommended.
To perform the upgrade you will first need to download the AtomOS 11 firmware from https://www.atomos.com/product-support or via https://my.atomos.com/my-products
Once you have updated your device to AtomOS 11 you will notice on the 'Activation' tab that any features that you have previously activated or purchased will remain active and available to use. However, to be presented with a new options list of available AtomOS 11 codecs and features, you will need to select the options on your my.atomos account to 'SWAP TO ATOMOS 11' for your registered Ninja V/V+ or Shogun Connect, as shown below.
Once this option is selected a new options list is presented.
From this point, you can activate and generate a Token as usual to download onto your SSD to activate the relevant features or codecs on your device.
For the Shogun Connect or the Ninja V/V+ with the paid activation, you will now have access to the H.265 codec for free and the option to purchase the new 4K NDI mode for your AtomOS 11.
