As an AtomOS 11 exclusive, we added the ability to have matching file names when connected to professional cinema & high-end hybrid cameras via SDI & HDMI. This allows the Ninja Ultra, Shogun Ultra, Shogun Connect and Ninja V+ (OS11 Feature Pack required) to use the same file naming scheme these cameras are using for their internal recording, making external proxy recording and advanced C2C workflows more seamless than ever.
Compatible Cameras
ARRI (SDI): All cameras, including the latest Alexa 35
Canon (SDI): C300 Mark III / C500 Mark II / C700 / C700FF
Nikon (HDMI): Z9
RED (SDI): All cameras
Sony (SDI): Venice, Venice 2, Burano, F5, F55, F65, FX6, FX9
Enabling Matching File Names
There are three ways to enable matching file naming for cinema and high-end hybrid cameras, but all of them are configured via the OS11 Input menu.
1. If you're using a supported camera from ARRI, Canon, or Sony, set the SDI Detect option to Auto.
2. If you're using a camera from RED, set the SDI Detect option to RED.
3. If you're using a Nikon Z9, set the HDMI Detect option to Auto.
Once the Detect option is configured, connect your camera to the Atomos recorder via SDI or HDMI (Atomos Connect required for SDI on Ninja Ultra and V+) and head to the File menu to confirm that the camera's internal file naming structure is detected correctly.
