Activation
Before you can use NDI TX on your Atomos OS11 device you will need to purchase and activate the NDI Token from my.atomos.com
Once activated you should follow the process here to enable and connect to the network and initiate your NDI transmission. You might find the process varies depending on the current configuration of your device, here for completeness we will begin with a factory reset.
Select the NDI tab to open the NDI page, you will see right away if the network is working, either Ethernet or Wi-Fi, if the network is not available you will need to connect to either Ethernet or Wi-Fi network (see the links to the guides here) to use NDI.
With the network working, tap the Connect NDI button in the lower left corner.
Note: If NDI won't enable check if Atomos Connect is enabled, tap the Connect tab and then disable Connect by tapping the button in the lower left corner. Then return to the NDI tab where you can enable NDI.
You might now be presented with a message that the device needs to reboot into the correct Codec, tap on the OK button and the device will reboot. Once it has rebooted select the NDI page again and it should look like this.
You should expect the NDI status to be 'Not Connected' if you haven't connected to an NDI destination yet.
Choosing between HD and Record or UHD and No Record
This switch gives you the choice of transmitting your NDI signal in HD resolution and to make a recording of the transmission onto the installed SSD.
Alternatively if transmitting UHD 4K you will not be able to record the transmission on the same device. If you need to record the output you could plug in another Atomos device capable of recording 4K!
Now you are ready tap the (X) in the top right corner to exit the menu page.
NDI button, from left to right: Inactive, Waiting, Connecting, Live.
To take the NDI transmission live, tap the NDI button top right of the screen, the button will turn Yellow to indicate the device is transmitting and available for a connection and will turn red when the signal is been received. Tapping the button when red will stop your transmission.
