AtomRemote App – Setup Instructions

Hardware Requirements:

1. Atomos Ninja V or Ninja V+ running AtomOS 10.72.
2. AtomX SYNC Module attached to Ninja V or V+.
3. Apple iPhone, iPod Touch, or iPad, running iOS 12.0 or later.

Setup Process:

Before you start, ensure that Bluetooth is enabled on your device. AtomRemote uses Bluetooth LE to connect to the Ninja V or V+, so there's no need to navigate through the Bluetooth menu in iOS.

1. Open the AtomRemote app and choose Ninja as the device you want to control. 
   Note: When you open the app for the first time, you need to grant permission that AtomRemote may use Bluetooth to communicate with Atomos devices. Simply press OK in the pop-up dialog to confirm.
   
   
2. On the Ninja, tap the top info bar and slide over to the Sync Config menu.
   
   
3. In there, set the Ninja to Pairing Mode in the Bluetooth section.
   
4. Compare the pairing ID on both your Ninja and the AtomRemote app. If the code matches, proceed by pairing the Ninja with the AtomRemote app.
   
5. After successfully pairing the devices, set the Ninja to Remote mode by tapping the Remote icon on the main screen.
   
6. You can now control the Ninja via the AtomRemote app.
   
   

AtomRemote App Connection States:

Red – No device connected

Red/Blue Cycle – Device connected in the background, but Remote mode is inactive

Blue – Device connected and Remote mode active

Notes:

• Whilst Remote mode is active, you can't operate the Ninja's touchscreen. Exit Remote mode by tapping the Remote button in the top left corner of the display to take control of the Ninja via the touchscreen again.

• If you don't set the Ninja to Remote mode after completing the pairing process, you may be able to pair the same iOS/macOS device multiple times with your Ninja. This results in the app flashing back and forth to the pairing screen.
  If you accidentally paired your remote device multiple times with the same Ninja, we recommend using the "Unpair All" option within the Ninja's Sync Config menu. This will reset the Ninja's pairing to the default state and allows you to re-pair your remote device. But please only once this time.

• Rebooting your device will default to the last mode the Ninja was in before shutting down. If Remote mode was enabled, the Ninja boots into this mode when you power it back on.
