The front of the Shinobi II is covered almost entirely by its 5" SuperAtom IPS display.
On the right side of the device, you'll find the multipurpose power button, as well as the Shinobi II's SD Card slot, used for updating firmware and uploading LUTs.
The left side of the enclosure houses the 3.5 mm Headphone jack, and a 2.5 mm Serial/LANC connector (labeled Remote).
The most important ports of the Shinobi II are located at the rear of the device. These consist of an HDMI 1.4 input (supports input signals up to 4Kp30), and a multipurpose USB-C port on the top right. Note: The USB-C port, may be used as an input for USB PD to power the Shinobi II, or as an output for camera control, whilst it powers/charges your camera simultaneously.
Right above and below the HDMI and USB-C port, you’ll notice two screw threads. These were placed there to serve as mounting points for the included locking cable adapter. Atomos have released a range of locking HDMI cables, and by using them with this adapter, you eliminate the risk of accidental HDMI disconnections on the monitor end.
In the center, there's the NP-F/L-Series battery slot, with the battery release to the left.
Another physical feature is the device's ventilation opening along the top of the battery compartment.
For mounting flexibility, the Shinobi II includes a 1/4-inch/20 thread with holes to accommodate locating pins at the bottom of the enclosure.
