NINJA V – Unpowered microphone doesn't pick up any Audio

The Ninja V doesn't provide Bias Power and requires a powered Microphone in order to record audio through its 3.5mm Mic-In.

Therefore, if you want to utilize the Ninja V's microphone jack, you'd either need a Line-In signal from something like a Mixer, or a powered Microphone that uses batteries to provide itself with power.

In cases where there is no other option available and you need to record your audio through an unpowered microphone, we suggest plugging it directly into the camera and recording the audio that is embedded into the HDMI feed that the camera transmits to our Ninja V.
