As a Ninja Ultra and AtomOS 11 exclusive, we added the ability to have matching file names when connected to professional cinema cameras via SDI. This allows the Ninja Ultra to use the same file naming scheme these cameras are using for their internal recording, making external proxy recording and advanced C2C workflows more seamless than ever.
Compatible Cameras
ARRI: all cameras, including the latest Alexa 35
Canon: C300 Mark III / C500 Mark II / C700 / C700FF
RED: all cameras
Sony: Venice, Venice 2, F5, F55, F65, FX6, FX9
Enabling Matching File Names
There are two ways to enable matching file naming for SDI cinema cameras, but all of them are configured via the Ninja Ultra's Input menu.
1. If you're using a supported camera from ARRI, Canon, or Sony camera, set the Detect option to Auto.
2. If you're using a camera from RED, set the Detect option to RED.
Once the Detect option is configured, connect your camera to the Ninja Ultra via SDI (Atomos Connect required) and head to the File menu to confirm that the camera's internal file naming structure is detected correctly.
