Here in the ACS website, you can configure the layout of the PiPs the content is selected in the Surface app. It is a good idea to consider how you need the content presented before you change the layout for that content.
When you tap on one of the PiPs you are presented with a layout editor that shows three test cards in the picture monitor, these are your optional 3 pictures in the picture. Each one can be made invisible/visible by tapping on the eye icon on the right in the layers list, so you don't have to use three if you only require one or two.
The test cards are numbered, this relates to the layers and also to the selection of content in the surface app.
Tapping on one of the test cards enables a layout editor that gives you control over:
- The size of the inserted picture.
- The size and shape of the mask that crops the displayed inserted picture.
- The border color and thickness around the inserted picture.
You can move the position of an inserted picture by tapping to select, then tapping and dragging it to the desired position. For more precise positioning, you may also enter the X and Y values manually via the boxes on the right, top left is 0, 0.
To change the size of the inserted picture, you can tap on a corner and drag it to the desired size, or enter the dimension values in the dimension boxes on the right.
Select Mask on the right to adjust the visible area of the inserted image there are two adjustments, the crop of the visible area and the position of the inserted image behind the crop. When in the Selection menu on the right, you pick to crop the size boxes change, and you can tap and drag them to adjust the visible area. If you pick adjust source, then you can by taping on the inserted picture move it into position behind the crop.
If you need to show the border between the inserted image and the background image, you can by selecting the Border menu, then choose the thickness of the border and the color.
Once you have configured how you want this layout to look, tap the save button and take a look at it in action.
