The AtomRemote app can be used to adjust the settings on your NINJA V+. It contains the usual menu options and icons from ATOMOS 10, so it will be familiar to ATOMOS users and will be an intuitive experience for anyone using an ATOMOS product for the first time.
Menu Tabs
The icons across the top of the app screen provide information and allow you to enter menus.
Input, Monitor and Output
The central area of the app screen provides an overview of your mode, gamma and gamut settings.
Tap on one of the boxes to open the Input, Monitor or Output Menu.
Input (Connected camera or other source)
Monitor (NINJA V+) and
Output (Connected external displays)
You can then swipe left or right on the screen to move between these menu pages.
Record
The record settings indicate the recording resolution, codec and frame rate. Tap on this box to enter the Record menu to adjust the recording settings. For more information refer to the Time Remaining section.
Monitor Assist Tools
The standard ATOMOS monitoring tools occupy the lower region of the screen, along with the monitor-assist settings.
These tools can be toggled on and off simply by tapping the icon on the main screen of the app. When a tool is enabled, the icon will have a solid border around it. Tap the Monitor-assist settings button to access the Monitor Assist Settings page, which provides options and settings for each of the monitoring assist tools. Record, Play, Overlays
Along the bottom of the main screen are the Record, Playback and Overlays buttons. The Record and Playback buttons operate the same way that they do on your NINJA V+. Tapping Record or Playback whilst in another mode, will switch NINJA V+ and the AtomRemote app into the selected mode. For more information refer to the Monitor Mode / Home section.
You can turn off the overlays to view the image by itself, by tapping the Overlays button.

Connection Status icon
The connection status icon displays the status of the connection between your NINJA V+ and the AtomRemote app.
Disconnected
Before connecting your device, you will see this icon.
Connected
After connecting your device, you will see this icon.
Alternating loop between connected and disconnected icons
Device is connected in the background, but Remote mode isn't active. To enter remote mode, tap on the remote icon on the screen of your NINJA V+.
Audio Menu
Tap the Speaker icon on the home page to open the Audio Menu.
Audio Tab
The Audio tab provides options for monitoring each channel, changing your headphones volume and embedding your analog channel into the HDMI signal, or SDI signal where you have an SDI Expansion module attached.
These settings are identical to those on the Audio menu page on your NINJA V+. Refer to the Audio Meters section for more information.
Mic/Line Tab
This tab provides options for the left and right channels of connected analogue audio. These settings are identical to those on the Mic/Line menu page on your NINJA V+. Refer to the Analog Audio Meters section for more information.
Power Menu
The battery icon provides status information on the connected power source.
When a battery is connected, the remaining power level is displayed as a percentage. | ||
When connected to mains power via a Battery Eliminator, 100% will be displayed. |
Media Menu
Tap the SSD icon to open the Media Menu. Displayed under the icon, is the remaining recording time, which is based on the chosen codec and the remaining capacity of the drive. The settings on this page are identical to those on the Media menu page on your NINJA V+. Refer to MEDIA INFO for more information on these settings.
Settings Menu
Tap the Cog icon to open the Settings Menu. Tap on the Time and Date, Timecode and Info tabs to adjust settings that relate to these elements.
Time and Date Tab
It is vital you set the correct date and time on your NINJA V+ to ensure that the metadata for your files is correct. Enter the correct settings and tap on Set Time and Date. Alternatively, tap on Set to Current Time and Date to use the current time and date on your iOS device or Mac. For more information refer to the TIME section.
To set 12H or 24H time format, this setting needs to be adjusted in the Date menu on your NINJA V+.
Timecode Tab
The settings on this page are identical to those in the Timecode menu page on your NINJA V+. Refer to the Hour / Minute / Second / Frame section for more information on these settings.
To enable/disable HDMI Out Timecode, this setting needs to be adjusted in the Timecode menu on your NINJA V+.
The AtomRemote app does not provide settings to adjust the AtomX SYNC module’s wireless Timecode functionalities. These settings need to be adjusted on your NINJA V+. For more information, refer to the AtomX SYNC Expansion Module section.
Info Tab
This tab provides information on the version of the AtomRemote app that is installed and the software (firmware) version and unique device ID (DID) of your NINJA V+ device. The page also provides information on attached AtomX modules.
The information and settings on this page are identical to those in the Info menu and AtomX menu pages on your NINJA V+. Refer to the NINJA V+ INFO and sections for more information on these settings.
