Using the QR code to register a product on my.atomos.com
The simplest way to link your product to your my.atomos.com account, is to use the camera on your smartphone to scan the QR code that appears on the Activation Menu page of each product. Tap on the notification that appears, and you will be taken to my.atomos.com in your browser.
You will be prompted to register as a new user, or login if you are an existing user to your my.atomos.com account. Once you have logged into your account, the ‘Product Registration’ page will open and the following fields will already be pre-filled:
- Product name
- Activation ID (AID)
- Device ID (DID)
Then you just need to complete the following fields:
- Serial Number (located in the battery or media slot of your product)
Note: Enter the serial number exactly as shown, and ensure that all letters and numbers are entered correctly. Take extra care to ensure that 0 (zero) and O (the letter O) are not confused for one another. - Purchase Date
- Reseller
Then tap on Submit to open the ‘My Products’ page.
Registering a product without using the QR code
You can also manually register products and activate codecs at my.atomos.com. When you visit the site, you will be prompted to register as a new user, or if you are an existing user you will be prompted to log in your my.atomos.com account. Then select My Devices from the left hand navigation pane and click Register Device.
Once the Register Your Product screen opens, select your product from the drop-down menu under the Product Name field. Then complete the following fields:
- Serial Number (located in the battery or media slot of your product)
- Device ID (DID)(located in the Info Menu tab or in General>About Device on your product)
- Purchase Date
- Reseller
Navigate to the Activation menu page on your product and use the Activation ID (AID) on that page to complete the Activation field. Tap on Submit to open the ‘My Devices’ page.

This advice was totally unhelpful. I have repeated attempted to register and activate the device - please get me some help that is effective and not just a quick flick off !
